Digital Marketing Specialist / Agency Planner

The ideal candidate would have 2 – 5 years’ experience in the marketing or advertising field and an advanced understanding of the digital advertising landscape.  They will need a strong background in data optimization, audience segmentation and analytics evaluation and reporting. This individual must also be adept at scheduling, coordinating, resourcing and budgeting. The candidate must be a quick learner, with strategic and critical thinking skills. The candidate must have clear communication skills and a flair for presentations.  This is a very diverse role that is the breeding ground for growth within our organization. The individual will support the account team in defining and executing integrated digital marketing solutions for clients as well as coordinate work flow internally between all departments using our project management system. This individual will assist with the traditional, digital and social media planning, placement and invoicing. They will develop and implement online advertising campaigns across platforms. Critical thinking and data optimization skills are a must. They will need to be able to provide analytic reports and interpret / communicate performance results and make strategic recommendations.  The position will be directly responsible for maintaining the project production process internally including creative and digital tasks, timelines, project tracking, and resource allocation. They must understand the objectives of our clients programs and help drive results for our clients.  The candidate must be a highly motivated, positive, organized self-starter who can work well with a variety of tasks and adapt quickly to different business needs and projects.  REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

 Skills:

 Requirements:

  • Ideally 2-5 years professional experience
  • Outstanding communication (both written and verbal), organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to solve problems positively, quickly and creatively while adapting to change
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the social advertising platforms including a deep understanding of campaign setup
  • Knowledge of Googles AdWords platform including campaign setup
  • Familiarity with online media buying and selling, advertising technology solutions and ad network business model
  • Experience with digital analytics and online reporting tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow through
  • Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize projects effectively
  • Capability to work proactively under pressure in a deadline-driven environment, understand customer needs and build relationships
  • Experience with digital analysis—CTR, PPC, and related concepts
  • Experience using social media, mobile and paid platforms, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and google. Up to date certifications in Google AdWords and Google Analytics is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel

 RESPONSIBILTIES:

 Overall:

  • Coordinate the internal workflow and production process
  • Develop work scope briefs / project documents and assist in defining project requirements and content development
  • Defines project steps, tasks, requirements against a scope of work (SOW)
  • Track timelines and milestones
  • Track resources and manage resource allocations across all internal departments
  • Translate and present specifications and project requirements
  • Develop project plans and monitor project execution. Control changes in scope and end of project closing requirements.
  • Constantly monitor, communicate and report on progress of the project and billable time to all stakeholders, including fiscal responsibility to the account teams
  • Work with and assist the account teams on client business
  • Assist with development of media plans
  • Implementation and tracking for digital, social, PR and traditional campaigns

Agency Planner:

  • Serve as the direct link between the account executive and the other departments, managing day-to-day project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Reporting and management of time allocations and profitability of accounts
  • Provide support to account teams with creative briefs, project planning and timelines, and management of tasks and work flow
  • Manages the project production process for agency accounts and internal agency departments
  • Defines project steps, tasks, requirements against SOW
  • Tracks & analyzes staff time and project timelines
  • Directs, manages and monitors account workflow. Control changes in scope and end of project closing requirements.
  • Constantly monitors, communicates and reports on progress of the project to all stakeholders

Digital & Account Specialist:

  • Provide support to account teams with creative briefs, project planning and timelines, and management of tasks and work flow
  • Accurately set up online advertising campaigns, across platforms as applicable including Social (primarily Facebook, LinkedIn) and Google
  • Assist with day-to-day operations from receipt/development of creative, quality assurance across tactics/platforms search marketing, keyword research, content syndication, site promotion, to AdWords campaigns
  • Ensure all campaigns are built and managed accurately and provide ongoing campaign maintenance to ensure optimal delivery
  • Performing Quality Assurance of all campaign materials prior to launch and proactively troubleshoot solving performance issues
  • Immediately communicate any issues or problems related to fulfillment, delivery and/or quality of digital assets trafficked to internal stakeholders

Analytics:

  • Manage, run, interpret, and share reoccurring monthly performance results
  • Recommend and execute on the approved best path forward based on campaign performance results
  • Ability to employ moderate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office products and Google Sheets to manage analyses and present data-heavy information in clear and concise manner to all levels of the organization

Communication / Presentation:

  • Be responsive with communication while managing multiple projects
  • Be available for clients
  • Be a strong presenter and communicator
  • Be professional with all communication and build relationships across teams within the agency
  • Effectively participate and contribute as a member of a work group team

Industry Knowledge:

  • Always be learning: reading relevant blogs and articles, attending training sessions, talking to experts and taking an interest generally in what is going on around you
  • Be plugged in to new trends and developments across the industry and particularly within the clients sector
  • Understand the different types of available and emerging media, particularly online, including constraints and opportunities presented by each
